What to Expect from the Early Days of Treatment:

On Your First Day of Treatment...

To help you get the most out of your treatment, we encourage you to find a regular time each day to use your Perio Trays for just 15 minutes. Establishing a routine makes it easier to stick to your treatment plan and ensure you're seeing the benefits. Here are times other patients have incorporated Perio Protect into their day: 

  • While they shower 
  • During their commute  
  • After their morning coffee 
  • During meditation or reading time 

There’s no wrong time, the most important thing is to find time that works for you, so you can make it a part of your daily routine.

One Month From Starting Treatment...

Your gums are likely less swollen, and your breath should be “fresher” than any time you can remember. Your tray use should be fully incorporated into your daily routine, and your teeth are starting to look a bit whiter.  You should also check your supply of gel and reorder if necessary.

Six Months From Starting Treatment...

At this point, your gums should be looking great.  Bleeding should have been eliminated, bacteria should be at a low, non-impactful level, and your teeth should look much whiter than Day 1. It’s also time to make an appointment and return to the dentist for your 6-month cleaning and checkup.  We’re confident you and your dentist will be pleased with the improvements.  Now would be a great time to take a current photo of your gums and compare it to your Day 1 photo.

One Year From Starting Treatment...
After a year of use, your mouth should feel great. Your gum health will be at an all-time high, no bleeding, no inflammation, and significantly whiter teeth. It’s time again to schedule a trip to your dentist for a routine cleaning. Be sure to purchase more gel during your visit or purchase your supplies online to be sure you don’t run out.

How To Use

  • Step 1

    Apply a small, thin line across the tooth indentations. 

  • Step 2

    Place the tray into your mouth so the tray covers all the teeth and fully seats in place. Spit out any excess medication. 

  • Step 3

    Wear your trays for the time prescribed by your doctor.  (Typically, 15 minutes per session) 

  • Step 4

    After use, remove the trays. Brush your teeth to remove any excess medication. 

  • Step 5

    Use your toothbrush to clean the trays and rinse them thoroughly with cold water. DO NOT USE HOT WATER.  

  • Step 6

    Gently towel-dry your trays and return them
    to the storage case    .
